We have three school rules, created with the staff and children: We are kind. We are responsible. We always try our best.
We promote good behaviour by creating a happy and caring school environment where everyone feels valued, respected and safe. Strong relationships are fostered between the pupils, between pupils and staff and between staff and parents.
We aim for children to be aware of their own emotions and have constructive ways to manage conflict. We want the children at our school to develop strong self-belief along with respect and empathy for others.
Our positive behaviour approach is called 1,2,3 and at its heart is supporting children to make positive changes to their behaviour. Staff follow clear and transparent steps for rewards and sanctions. Under no circumstances will we tolerate any form of bullying and all incidents of bullying are dealt with promptly and effectively.
We have in place partnerships and dedicated staff to support children who need help to overcome emotional or behavioural barriers to learning. This includes in-school counsellors from Place2Be, a dedicated CAHMS clinician in school each week and staff trained in providing support with emotional regulation, friendships and self-confidence.
