Ashmount Primary School, like all schools in Islington, is committed to meeting the needs of all pupils including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
At Ashmount our we provide every child with a happy, caring and supportive learning environment in which they can develop their full potential whatever their needs and irrespective of ability, race and gender. Children with special educational needs and disabilities are offered full access to a broad, balanced, challenging and relevant education.
Our expectation is that children and young people with SEND will receive an education that enables them to make progress so that they:
achieve their best
become confident individuals living fulfilling lives
make a successful transition into adulthood, whether into employment, further or higher education or training
We do everything we can to meet the pupil’s special educational needs. Access to third party agency support enables us to give children and young people with SEND the best support possible.
