Promoting positive school attendance is everyone’s responsibility. For children to gain the greatest benefit from their education it is vital that they attend school regularly and on time every day unless the reason for the absence is unavoidable.

At the end of May 2019 Ofsted confirmed that Ashmount continues to be a ‘Good’ school. They were so impressed with the children, staff and wider community that they feel that we have demonstrated strong practice and marked improvement in specific areas and we will within the next two years have a more detailed section 5 inspection to see whether we have become an Outstanding school.

We have high aspirations and ambitions for our children and we firmly believe that no child should be left behind, irrespective of their background. We strongly believe that it is not about where you come from but your passion and thirst for knowledge, and your willingness to take risks, make mistakes and learn from these and to continue to persevere with your learning. We are determined to ensure that our children are given every chance to realise their full potential.

Ashmount Primary School, like all schools in Islington, is committed to meeting the needs of all pupils including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer.
