The school gates are opened at 8:45am for a soft start.
We have three access points:
- The large set of grey gates to the right of the main school office.
- The small set of green gates leading onto the KS2 playground.
- The large set of green gates at the bottom of the KS1 playground, just past Bowlers Nursery.
As soon as children arrive at school, they should make their way up to their classes. Members of the senior leadership team will be on the playground daily. Support staff will help to guide children up the external staircases.
Lessons start promptly at 9:00am and it is expected that all children are in the classroom by this time.
In Reception children have a morning break at 10:15-10:30am, lunch break at 11:30-12:15 and an afternoon break 2:45-3:00pm.
In KS1 children have a morning break at 10:45-11:00, lunch break at 12:00-12:45 (Y1) and 12:15-1:00 (Y2) and an afternoon break at 2:30-2:45pm.
In KS2, children have a 15 minute morning break that starts at either 10:25 or 10:45 and a lunch break from 12:30-1:15pm.
For children, the school day finishes at 3.15pm.
At the end of the day, teachers will dismiss children to their parents/carers.
Nursery and Reception children get dismissed from their classrooms.
KS1 (Y1 and Y2) children get dismissed from the large hall.
KS2 (Y3 – Y6) children get dismissed from the KS2 playground.
Parents must notify the office if somebody else will be picking up their child.
Parents can sign up to a walking bus service to The Cape via the school office.
The school office is open from 8.00am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday during term time.
